Police Arrest Man Suspected of Robbing Wells Fargo Bank in Pompano Beach, Florida

Pompano Beach FL Bank RobberyPolice recently arrested a man accused of robbing a Wells Fargo bank in Pompano Beach, Florida.

According to officials, the 43-year-old suspect entered the Wells Fargo bank located at 3885 North Federal Highway in Pompano Beach, FL. The suspect then allegedly approached an employee and handed the teller a letter which demanded cash.

Once the suspect had an undisclosed amount of money, he reportedly walked out of the bank and fled the scene on foot.

Thankfully, no one was injured during the theft.

Immediately after the suspect left the bank, employees notified local police. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the scene a short time later and canvassed the area in search of the suspect. K9s and helicopters were deployed during the search.

While looking for the suspect, police locked down nearby Norcrest Elementary School.

Police also released a photo of the suspect to the media.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies eventually located and arrested the suspect. The suspect now faces federal charges for robbery.
