Man’s Life-Saving Equipment Stolen on Christmas Day in Hollywood, Florida

Hollywood Florida Grand Theft AttorneysPolice are looking for suspects in the theft of a man’s life-saving equipment on Christmas Day in Hollywood, FL.

According to authorities, the victim was visiting South Florida with his wife when the incident occurred.

The suspects allegedly stole the victim’s backup heart pump and his pickup truck. The truck, a red Ford F250, was parked in the parking lot of the victim’s condominium. The condo is located along South Ocean Drive in Hollywood, Florida.

The victim and his wife said that they noticed the lock on their vehicle had been removed on Christmas Eve. The next day, the couple saw that their truck had been stolen from the parking lot.

The theft occurred while the victim and his wife were unloading groceries. As a result, a number of personal items were still in the truck when it was taken. Among the most important items was the victim’s medical equipment.

After the equipment went missing, the victim had to call his doctor in Massachusetts. The victim needed to get a spare heart pump immediately because it keeps him alive. Without a spare pump, the victim could die if his main pump breaks.

Moreover, the victim’s main heart pump has broken in the past; that’s why he always carries two pumps as a precaution.

Hollywood FL police are currently investigating the alleged theft. Investigators are reviewing surveillance video footage to try to identify the suspects.

Police also released a description of the pickup truck. The truck is a red Ford F250 with two Patriot magnets on the tailgate. The vehicle also has a noticeable scratch on the driver’s side door.

If the suspects are eventually apprehended, they could face serious criminal charges for grand theft.

Hollywood police have asked for the public’s assistance with the investigation. Anyone with information about the suspects or the incident is asked to come forward and get in touch with Hollywood police.
